| General Overview | Hikaru is at his core a boy who never really got to grow up. He's optimistic, and easy going, yet his years of experaince on the battlefield have left him with an often twisted sense of morality and a desire not to get involved with problems unless he has a personal stake in the matter. He is also a touch immature, and a massive pervert, his life spent in close quarters with his sister basically means he has little to no personal space, and has no boundries when it comes to topics of conversation, he has little in the way of social norms. | |
| Strengths & Weaknesses | His biggest weakness is that unless he has a personal stake in the situation or it affects someone he is sleeping with Hikaru finds it hard to do little more than analyze a situation with cold tactics. He cares very little when it comes to larger civilian populations or casualties as anyone not in a mech or on a military ship tends to drag him down. To him vast populations across worlds are just numbers, and he can be cold to things like civilian losses. For him to care it has to directly affect him, or the women/friends in his life. | |
| Ambitions | Hikaru desires power, he wants to be an admiral like his father, for just about all of the wrong reasons one would want to be an admiral. A desire for power, and domination over others. For Hikaru a lot of the modern propaganda is boring, he would rather watch shows and things from era's that are long gone, meaning he speaks in references. | Personal History | Hikaru grew up with his sister Kiyoko, the two of them were spacers, following their dad who was a captain at the time through various missions. The two were sent to a military academy where they learned to work as a team and became pilots. Later on as their dynamic's shifted the two became unrivaled in destructive potential, but were also known for causing problems with higher ups, eventually the two of them were sent to the outer rim where they had a number of adventures. When they returned they returned as a couple, and when news of their relationship reached their father, in a stunt to protect his own image, he had the two separated. Kiyoko was sent to the Lavi, while Hikaru was sent to the front lines to fight and die. He lasted a year on an ice world, starved, cold both internally and externally, he survived blackouts, bombing runs, everything the enemy could throw at them. Eventually against their fathers wishes Kiyoko reached out to her brother and the two were reunited on the Lavi. When he returned he started demonstrating unique side effects from his traumatic experiences the largest being that his core temperature was nearly freezing and yet he could seemingly function with no problem. Since then the two worked as Mecha pilots, up until the seekers destruction in a fight with a massive swarm that consumed earth. Hikaru has on occasion demonstrated limited control over some cyrokenetic psychic powers, matching his sisters fire starting abilities. With medication and training he's working to improve those abilities. |
