| General Overview | Jayce was, before the incident he experiences that introduces him to TNU, a happy go lucky young fresh-out-of-college, into the work force, artificial intelligence major who has just suffered living on a ship for six months alone after a major uncontrollable outbreak of an alien flu onboard. His reason for first coming aboard this vessel, a ship carrying civilian handheld communicators, was to experience his first job in the field he studied. He spent three months onboard helping the native ship ai with simple reports and administrative paperwork. He wholeheartedly believes ai in "modern" day are equal in rights and emotional structure to humans and fights for ai civil rights and backs their opinions with a fire that can't be stopped. After being alone for six months, his personality however tanked as cabin fever and depression set in from watching his coworkers and new friends all die from the disease while he was left to suffer alone due to a natural immunity to the disease. When he first meets Remi, he is very stand-offish and antisocial. Perhaps as he develops in the TNU series, he will grow from his experience and reintegrate with his old identity and personality. | |
