Mission:
Season 2; Mission 3: We All Know What to Do; Let’s Not Do That…
Location: City-Ship; Residential Section
Timeline: October 27th 4566; Evening
Remi had resorted to drinking again in the lounge as he had prior and with how emotionally volatile she was anything could easily make her make an ass of herself. She wondered what she was going to do now that Flennel was gone... should she even pursue Aidan or would he be killed too... The thought had crossed her mind that maybe she was destined to be alone; that are that she was good for was to create the next Heir for her father and to lead his army.
She was currently drinking directly out of a bottle of bourbon sitting at the bar. It was nasty but she didn’t care it made things sting less.
Valkyrie Ronas, a newly recruited member by the Trinity Organization and assigned to tactical team one, the 22 year old female wanders through the station with a bag and a piece of paper in hand. Where was she going? Suspicious and uncomfortable with those around her, Valkyrie finds herself outside the bar. Standing in front of the entrance for a while, staring into the lounge and pondering, well...better start getting to know her new coworkers now. Wearing a newly modified mech suit, a fitted, strong yet flexible and light armor that hugs the recruit’s body and a helmet that hides her face and tucks in her hair, her real appearance was all but a mystery. All that is visible is her height and figure, looking at about 5’5” and 130lbs(edited)
Taking a step into the bar, Valkyrie examines her new settings. Well...this is it the woman thinks to herself as she makes her way to the counter. Placing her bag on the ground and taking a seat next to another woman with bourbon in hand, Valkyrie remains silent as she begins reading the piece of paper in hand that details her superior officers, her duties, responsibilities and benefits, etc
Remi continued to drink noticing the new woman. So Command had already sent a replacement; a pilot... which they greatly needed. This reminded Remi of their previous pilot; someone that she saw for a short time. That sort of opened her wound and resulted in her drinking more as she rested her head on the bar. Even though she wasn’t in uniform it was obvious she was the city’s as well as team one’s Commander. It would also be known she was the princess.
Hmm...so, I will be working for the princess it would seem...no pressure no pressure! Just a new recruit working under the command of one of the most powerful...truly no pressure! Sighing to herself softly, Valkyrie sets the paper down and reaches for her bag. Taking out a journal of sorts, She take out the picture She uses as a bookmark. A picture of her family...staring at the picture through her helmet and reminiscing in memories, anything and everything else around doesn’t matter as Valkyrie’s awareness dims(edited)
Remi finally finishes the bottle. She stares at the empty container and then coming back to herself pays attention to the person sitting next to her noticing her staring into a book. She attempted to look at the contents of the document Moore trying to find something to distract her from her situation.
Besides being a pilot, Valkyrie did have some...other unique skills she obtained when living in the outlining colonies. Sensing another person drawing closer to her, she instinctively turns her head towards the girl next to her. Huh...haven’t I seen her somewhere before...? Remaining quite for a bit, Valkyrie finally builds up the courage to talk once her curiosity has filled itself. “Hello...?”
Remi looked at her in full armor and all. "Damn... like why are you completely in uniform... I mean even pilots on standby....- You trying to like be a superhero or something... So... what brings you to my station; I mean not like its odd for me to not know all 12 thousand people who work here but you seem uncharacteristically new.... even inebriated I can tell that..." Remi said in a posh way.
Well...that is certainly a interesting first impression Valkyrie is a bit...taken back by the woman’s response. But..what did she mean by “my station”? Is she...Valkyrie tenses as she slowly begins to fit the pieces of the puzzle together. “Are...you perhaps the princess, ma’am?” She asks nervously. Good thing her helmet was on to hide her nervous expression
"Princess this, Princess.... that.... unnn...." Remi pouts. It is highly obvious even to someone who doesnt know her she is drunk. "Am I... I don't matter.... why does everyone ask me how I'm doing... what about...." She looks sad and stares down at the floor then realizing the girl was talking to her Remi says. "I'm Sumire Rembrant; the Commander of the Onyx and Leader of Tactical Team 1... I moonlight as Lavie's Captain and the amazing princess of Orteria. I like manga.... people, long walks and VR games..." She laughed at herself.
Holy shit... Straightening my posture, If Valkyrie wasn’t tense enough before She is now. Lord, it’s her! How did I not recognize it?! Biting her bottom lip, Valkyrie sit at a loss of words before mumbling out a sentence. “I-it’s a honor to meet you, your grace. My name is Valkyrie Ronas. I am positioned as your new pilot”
"Um... you realize that im like estranged from my dad right... yeah I've got daddy issues... Don't be so formal... thats what the office is for... bars are for fun and... sobbing into a bottle..." Remi tilts her head. "And why are you in full gear... like uniform I could understand... by hun... flight suit; seriously... like are you even in... eh.... let me guess you wear nothing under that suit...." Remi pondered her. for a moment and then looked her up and down. "Hum... take off the helmet. You can't drink with that on... and if you were reading Yuri manga you couldn't drool over it cause your in a suit" She spins in her stool.
Is the princess...ok? Umm...how do I even respond... Valkyrie is once again at a loss of words as she just stares at the, assumingely, drunken princess. “Umm...a-are you ok? Do you need help?” She asks nervously, totally disregarding formality. “You don’t seem...stable, if I may be honest with you ummm my lady..”
“ I don’t seem stable… Yeah I guess you could say that... but that’s better than the alternative... so what did you say you were doing here again miss valk?” Remi straight from her chair and stared at the other girl still wondering what was underneath that helmet.(edited)
Valkyrie becomes ominously quite as she snaps her head back forward, no longer looking at the princess but at her reflection in the mirrored wall behind the shelved bar that holds a large assortment of alcohol and divines know what. How much does she already know about me... She thought darkly to herself Ill just be vague...I don’t care if she is the princess or not, I don’t know her and by all means she could have contacts with...them. “As my files have stated, I am originally from one of the outer lining colonies. Was recruited and sent to the academy where I graduated as one of the top pilots. Shortly after my promotion, I received a message saying that I am to be your new pilot and thus here I am, ma’am” Valkyrie kept her voice low as she talked about herself, not daring to reveal too much about herself and growing attached and sentimental to someone who...might...
"I see... Well; so you are our new pilot... At least we have someone reliable... They wouldn't send a waste of space to work for team one; you know we are supposedly the best of the best... That remains to be seen though... I still wanna know what is under that helmet though... I'll know eventually..." Remi said winking. She then shrugs observing Valkyrie more to see what signs she gave off.
Dont let them see...you cont let them see and know... Valkyrie earns herself over and over again silently. Time to go...she’s watching me and I still need to find my room. Jumping down from her seat, the new pilot of team one picks up her bag and turns to her superior. “It is a pleasure meeting you, ma’am. If ever you need me, don’t hesitate to call. I will be retreating to my quarters now” Saluting the princess farewell, Valkyrie turns on her heels and leaves the bar...leaving with everything except her journal.
Remi watched her leave but was initially too drunk to realize she left her book. Eventually Remi notices the document. "Wait... is that... oh the girl from before left it... Ronas... was it.... Hum..." She consulted the VX chip in her head connecting to the stations network with it asking the computer to find her location. By this point the logistics division would have assigned her a room and got her other belongings sent there.
Remi heads for that room wondering if she left the document intentionally or if she would even make the trip with her drunkenness.(edited)
It takes Valkyrie FOREVER to find her room. Why is this station so HUGE?! How does no one here get lost?? Screaming in her head, she was too proud and suspicious of people around her to ask for directions. Oh well, guess I’ll just struggle. Finally finding her room (after what seems to be an ETERNITY) Valkyrie lets out a low, soft sigh and enters. Standing at the entrance of her new home, the mysterious girl looks throughout her room. Guess this will make due... Looking out of her door, seeing no one in the hallway and hearing no one approach, Valkyrie leaves her room open and begins removing her helmet.(edited)
Remi makes her way to the room; thanks to the GPS in her head this would be easy to find even for a drunk person.
Slipping her helmet off and setting it on her new bed, with her luggage and bag placed at the foot of it, Valkyrie allows her long, loose hair to fall and air out. Taking in a deep breath, the girl scratches the back of her head before running her fingers through her hair.
Remi comes down the hall nearly to her room shrugging wondering what was in this book; would she dare too look at the contents... It is not like anyone would know... She stopped in the hallway and considered that but then... deciding not to be a total bitch she approached the room. She would arrive in a few moments.(edited)
Valkyrie doesn’t hear the gradual footsteps growing louder and louder as she keeps herself busy. Taking out her folded clothes, some home decorations to make the room feel more alive and more like home, a small plushie and her blankets. She is currently standing in front of her closet as she hangs her clothes while placing others in the dresser.
Remi walks up to the room about to hit the call button when she realizes the door o open; she peeks in. "Ms. Ronas" Remi asks concerned as the door was left open. She sees unpacking occuring and then the girl standing by her closet.
Panic overtakes Valkyrie in a flash! Causing her to jump into the far end of her closet, keen to keep her identity a secret. Pulling down a hanging cloak, which was gifted to her by her family during the winter solstice, she swiftly puts it on with the hood raised. Blessed divines, how could I be so careless! she cursed herself. Stepping out of the closet, the overwhelming sense of...awkwardness, fills the room. The hooded cloak can only cover up most of her body. However, a bit more features became more noticeable. Hiding most of her face and hair, Valkyries mouth and nose we visible now...if Rémi were to be closer, she could get a better look...as if Valkyrie would allow such closeness. “M-my lady! W-what pleasure do I owe you being here..?”(edited)
"You forgot this..." Remi said going to hand her the book. "I don't pry into the lives of my soldiers... here..." Remi goes to hand her the book. She would respect her privacy; at this point it had become obvious to Remi even after this that the woman as afraid of people getting too close. Once she takes the book Remi said. "Have a great evening... I will be leaving with my team in the morning... As you won't be ready to deploy yet you won't be flying for us until next mission.... Hopefully between then and now you can get to trust your fellow officers..." Remi then turned to exit the room.
Taking the journal back from Rémi, Valkyrie keeps her head down and silently whispers a thank you. Watching the princess leaves...the new girl takes into consideration her parting words. Trust my fellow officers...my “friends”...how can I trust them...hmm...at least...the princess seems to be a bit more trustworthy but not by a lot. We will see...we will see
