The Return

Mission: Season 2: Mission 1: Day after Day
Location: DFS Lavie - Ari's Quarters
Timeline: October 11th 4566 - Evening

Ari had gotten done with what had happened after the whole voyage on the runabout. The ship would leave the planet tomorrow most likely but for now she had time to herself. She went into her bathroom and stropped getting a bath ready for herself. Once the bath was ready she got in and closed her eyes soaking and just letting her worries float away. As she had her eyes closed and most of her body except her nose underwater Gainz appears in the room unbeknown to her. (Yes you appeared in her bathroom; you did say anywhere lol)



As Gainz appeared on the ship randomly he wasnt really expecting to show up in the bathroom.  He blushed only slightly as he quickly backed off once he realized where he was.  "Oh my bad.  Didnt mean to just show up in the middle of your private time."  His battlesuit was covered in all sorts of scratches, bug blood, and battlescars.  Seems hes been quite busy for the past couple of weeks.  He turned around to head off but before he did he said something.  "The earth is a disaster, some fucking bugs attacked...and the powers that be decided the earth was expendable and glassed the entire planet.  I feel like that could have been handled better...without killing the planet.  Skynet could have even done something..." He didnt sound very happy about the situation.  The earth was his home and for it to end this way he was on a hellbent mission to crush whatever was responsible.


Ari head a voice initially not realizing he was there she lifted her head up and looked at him. She head him speak and as he headed off she spoke before he left. "You forget; Earth is my home too... We were there... We evacuated people... I had a little kid die in my arms... Yeah its horrible... I do agree with you that things should have been handled better but see I'm just a girl who runs a ship; I'm not powerful enough to make much a difference politically... You actually can... The Senate is afraid of you; to them I'm just a little girl... But thats what you think of me too... isn't it..." She said as he was still heading for the door. She doesn't stop him or comment about him seeing her naked. He had seen her that way before. She then added something else in regards to that. "You don't have to run away like you always do; if you want to talk then just talk... otherwise you can leave..."


Gainz stopped himself at the end of the door and turned his head slightly.  "Thats not what I think of you, but right now theres a new evil to deal with.  I had to see my home destroyed twice now...an inner voice inside of me demands vengeance.  Dont know if its Skynet...or if its him...  But either way...they have to pay for what they've done." Gainz said shaking his head.  "The earth being expendable should have never been an option.  Maybe there was a little truth to Skynet's old objectives...even if it was flawed..."


"We have three weeks until we get where we are going... And if thats not what you think of me than; what do you think of me... You walked away before... With Earth; like I said I can't control what they did... I hate what happened too... our home is gone and the bugs will pay for that but the politicians also needed to listen when they were talked to... The joys of politics... This time it cost civilians billions of lives..." Ari said shaking he rhead. She didn't want to discus this as it was hard enough with the evacuation; she literally had to watch some evacuees starve to death, children and adults die... she didn't want to think about the past three weeks...


"Politics...I thought in the past they were bad enough but in the future now you can just toss billions of lives just like that.  I should advise, Skynet is not happy either.  The master AI has deemed humanity irresponsible and dangerous.  I'm sure after the bugs are dealt with the next mission will be for me to deal with whoever glassed the planet.  But thats a conflict for another day.  Gainz sighed.  "Ari...I dont know...I'm probably not really in the best state of mind to answer...theres a lot on my mind right now."



"So another war with skynet... great... just what I wanted..." She sighs and lowers her head back under the water. She didn't know what to say or do with him at this point. She cursed her situation and that of everyone else involved.

"Skynet will listen to me, we'll get things straightened out.  For now, its a mess.  let's focus on the ones who started it first..." Gainz said
Gainz left the bathroom and headed off to see if he can get any intel on where these bugs were last located.
