Mission: Season 2: Mission 1: Day after Day
Location: Cargo bay 2
Timeline: Oct 14, 4566 afternoon

 

Ari noticed the Lavie leaving the City Ship. She was never told anything about this but assumed Aidan was just going on patrol. A short time passes and she is soon messaged by Trent. "Captain; we have pulled in an unknown ship... the XO is on his way to talk to them." Ari sighs and puts down the book she was reading that Remi gave her. "Lt. Raven why did no one contact me about this?" "It all happened so fast sir I apologize." "Please remind the XO who is in charge would you... Heh... So what is the current situation?" "The ship has been stored in Cargo Bay 2 and it has one lifesign; medical has been contacted."" "Who are they with; unknown... or rather no organized military on record." "I see... have an extra marine detail sent and please seal off the cargo bay... Send Rembrant as well... She wanted a job in the military and to be used more... Well she got a mission command and now she gets a EV suit..." Trent doesn't reply to Ari's joke." Well... Please keep me apprized and in the future just go to condition yellow when this happens... I assumed that was still standard but I guess not..."

"Aye Captain." Trent contacts communications. "Have Ensign Sumire Rembrant sent to Cargo Bay 2 for a first contact on behalf of the Captain." The communications officer finds Remi in her room and sends a message. Seleni and Remi were just laying together still.

Meanwhile in medical Ai notices the call that Nik responded to was technically an emergency; he may have had his MD but he did not complete his residency and being sent on an emergency call. She wondered why Sarissa allowed an unlicensed man to practice on this ship... It was super risky. She headed to the cargo bay and sent security a message to ensure that the people there did not leave until they could properly be evaluated by an actual medical professional.
Remi sits up as the two were just hugging again. "Agh, work, work, work... Well... I'll be back unless you wanna come with me?" She asked Seleni
 
"I'll go with you." Seleni says getting up, and putting on her boots.
 
Remi puts on her boots and grabs a duty vest since with her uniform top still on the shuttle she was technically out of uniform with only her blouse, uniform pants and boots on. She also grabs her holster and duty weapon. Never knew if she would need it. The two girls then made their way to the cargo bay and arrived as Ai did. Ai turns on the hazardous response setting on her VX which blocked particulates and such things from passing her shield."Please program the forcefield to allow our shields through." Ai told the security officers as one reprograms the contamination forcefield now blocking exit of the room. Remi changes the setting like Ai did following her lead after Ai just sent the two girls a message silently explaining how to do this. The three then enter. (was AIdan in here with you guys or did he leave before the post ended)
 
"Oh, shit, Sarah!  Put me down!  I don't know if I'm a biohazard, here!  We gotta go to decon, don't we?"  Thorn suddenly pushed away, looking to the others flooding the room.
 
Once the three were in the room Ai comes over to Nik using her VX to scan the area. "I'm Ai the emergency medical supervisor on the Lavie... How are you feeling after your ordeal? Mr. Blom; what is the status of our patient?"

Niklas looks at more tense than normal but responded easily, Human-ish female, approx age 26, suffering from several hormonal defects due to unknown tampering and augmentation. When I scanned her and the interior of the vessel there were no known pathogens or bioagents that had to be dealt with. That was after I erected a bioshield around the ship and decontaminated it. "

Niklas continued, "I administered a mild stimulant to assist in waking up the patient as she wasn't waking up when the cyrochamber indicated should. She is stable, though she needs to eat soon, her blood sugar is low."
 
"And... yeah... we will need to clean you when you leave..." Ai said to Sarah 
   
"I'm fine.  My ship's hurt, and I'm still walking off cryo shakes.  And whatever that doc put in me's got me jittery as shit."  Thorn levelled her eyes at Ai, scanning her over almost casually.  Remi waits for the PA to do her job before saying anything.

"Do you mind if I scan you?" Ai asks as the scan of the air reveals no particulates in the air and no infectious disease or bacterium.
 
"Sure.  I'm perfectly scannable.  Far as I know."  Thorn had started vibrating as the mild stimulant interacted with her hypersensitive system.
 
Ai conducts a scan of her and finds the stimulant that Nik administered. She also noticed her patient's being hypersensitive to said stim. Pulling out a hypo that would counteract its effects but still help relieve her pain and stress responses, Ai continued, "Would you mind if I give you something else that might help and based on my scans you seem fine... Considering... Though I would like to see you in medical if that is possible... We will still need you to go through decon as a precaution though... Is that alright?"
 
"Go ahead and stab me, lady!"  Thorn straightened, laughing slightly, before regaining her composure.  "So sorry, that was... That stuff's rather potent."

She presented the permanent set IV below her datapad for a needle, "I imagine my body has... Some peculiarities."
 
"She...seems artificial....." Seleni says to Remi as she focuses on the newcomer.
 
Ai shakes her head then says "We dont actually use needles here..." Thorn jerked back as she felt the meds pierce her neck, immediately feeling a little sedated but not as groggy or overly sleepy from the other meds. "Well we are use to seeing chips and devices inside of people... there is nothing emergently wrong with you but as I said I think a visit to medical would be helpful." Thinking across comms was an easy feat for the VX unit implanted somewhere deep within Ai, requesting equipment was as simple as speaking without speaking. "Roslin to communications could you have operations send a mobile decon unit to cargobay 2."

"This is the operator Lt. Arnolds.... request received and passed to operations." A decontamination shower appears by the door with a brief sparkle of coalescing light and a sudden flash.
 
"Sarah, you first.  You had skin to skin contact with me."  

Sarah had been quiet as the doctor did her thing, but nodded as Thorn suggested she go first. "Do I need to strip to use that thing doc?"

"No; it is perfectly fine to have clothing on; it cleans the clothing and THROUGH it to you... your clothes might feel slightly damp after for a few seconds though as the solution evaporates..."

As she entered the system said "Please stand by." The glass area closes and the system scans her and emits a decontamination solution from foggers, carried on a hypersonic pressure wave that effectively blew the solution through her clothes and several layers of skin. A red light turns green and the system opens for her to exit. Once she does about 30 seconds pass and the solution is gone, and Sarah saw Seleni wave to her, giving only a halfhearted wave in return.

Remi tilted her head at Sarah's reaction; she thought she heard that Hitomi Rio, Seleni and her were together... She guessed she needed to check her sources in the future.

As Sarah moved into the decon shower, Thorn turned back to Ai, her gaze levelling as she let loose something that was confidential at best.  "I know about my growth inhibitor, what it's done to me, and that my implants will probably tear my organs apart if I grow.  You saw those things on the scan.  I think there may be something about that in my trip to Medical, won't there?"
 
Ai nods to Thorn. "That is indeed correct... We can fix that and replace necessary organs or have a body cloned for you... Anyway have security bring you to medical when you are done here... I am going to evaluate your friend..." Ai said as her eyes scanned over the ship and realized it was living. Considering Thorn had no further questions, Ai headed over to the damaged ship sitting on the bay floor, scanning it again.  With the better scans, she started notating what would need repaired by engineering and what she could work on and help with. She then asked permission of the AI to begin treatment.  It was hard to believe the ship had survived, from its computer still reading a mild overheat, the fuel system being so integrated to the cooling that as dry as the system had been, there was nothing left to cool.  The sensor boom had snapped completely off, held on by two thick cables, of a bundle of fifteen or so that had been torn or sheared.  The structural damage to the engines, reactor, and main superstructure were massive, with beams torn from their welds and the central spar sheared in several points giving the ship the bowed look of a broken back.  If the scans were correct, Oracle would never jump again. Not in this body.
 
Thorn bowed gently, before stepping into Decon.  After that was said and done, she moved back to Sarah.  "Hey, hon.  Mind working your magic on those big, strapping security boys over there to drag me to Medical?  Apparently there's something that can be done about my current bodily predicament."
 
Remi clears her troat, signalling the marines to move in the way.
 
Sarah just shook her head with a smile, but that dropped when the marines moved in the way. "She's with S6, this is Thorn Ironhart."
 
"Possibly." Seleni says to Thorn. Extending her hand to her, Seleni introduces herself, "Ai of the Murasashi, nice to meet you."
 
"Okay; and being with Section six has anything to do with anything how... I'm Ensign Sumire Rembrant. Our Captain was concerned about the random appearance of a ship in this sector... Could you explain how you got here and what you are doing if you don't mind?" Remi asked.
 
"A pleasure.  MercSci Thorn Ironhart, Captain of the Independant starship Oracle.  I got shot through a wormhole.  Far as I can tell.  I hit a spatial anomaly, tried to make an emergency jump, wound up within rescue range of your ship.  How long was I down?"  Thorn shook the offered hand gently, bowing to Ai of the Murasashi before turning to Ensign Rembrant.  "Not exactly sure what I'm doing here yet."
 
"So you just ended up here like the rest of your compatriots.... I think EU people are playing games again...." Remi said looking at Seleni when she said that. "You'll have to excuse this but until we get a better idea of your intentions and that things are safe we will have to keep you under guard?" Remi said to her. Ai finished her evaluation of the damaged ship and called engineering and one of the Alechemy Commission Specialists to use a blue gem on the ship to heal it.
 
"I'll have to go over the sensor logs to determine what happened, but that's the best explanation I have at the moment.  My being under guard is a perfectly understandable security precaution."  Thorn nodded.
 
Remi shrugs. "Okay; cool... Usually people yell at me when I mention that... At least when I worked on Earth for the short time I did... Anyway; I am sure at some point Captain Mizriki will want to meet you herself but for now welcome aboard the Lavie... I am sure Mr. Thornton will be of any help he can be since he didn't tell her you were here..." Remi said as she stared at Aidan smirking at him.  As this happened, Ai had made hersef busy ushering everyone else through the decon shower, clearing the cargo bay so that she could have the computer perform a decontamination of the ship without hurting anyone.

"Hey, I'm as stuck with you as you are with me, so ain't no purpose in being a bitch."
 
Once everyone was outside Remi then asked. "So any other questions, concerns, random... confessions of strange hobbies that others might enjoy..." She shrugged.
 
Sarah frowned, "I'll have to inform the commander of this, I assure you she is no threat though."
 
"The AI might datadump my porn stash on you if your systems try to get into it."  Thorn shrugged.
 
"Heh... porn... what kind... eh... nevermind ignore me..." Remi said putting her hands up defensively
As her face turned red
 
Sarah cringed, "please, don't tell me you mean the Bob stuff."
 
"Try and get in and find out." Thorn smirked.  "Yes, hon, the complete collection."
 
"Eh... I'll stick to my VRMMOs and manga thanks..." Remi replied
 
"I regret watching that now.", She sighed.
 
Seleni rolls her eyes. "Anyways, there's a few other ship AI's here. Wouldn't be surprised if both came running in here anytime soon."
 
When Ai came out Remi whispered but not low enough meaning that everyone could still hear her "So is she actually a loli or is she just a holographic projection of herself or something?" Ai glared at Remi. "This isn't one of your games; thats illegal... and yes... she can't grow." Remi blushed.
 
"I heard that! I'm twenty six and want a cigarette!"
 
"She's 26." Sarah deadpanned, smirking slightly.
 
"But ... so tiny... so young looking... and the captain smokes..."

"And I know a way you could get the trust of everyone here... JOIN MY AWAY TEAM!!!"

"Calm down, Remi." Ai said patting Remi before walking off not wanting a part in the banter.
 
"Thorn is not combat personnel, last time she died," Sarah said with another cringe.
 
"Hon, I got more scars than T&A, can't hit the broadside of a barn from within the barn, and last time I got roped into one of those I caught a bad case of explosions."
 
"Neither am I... have you seen me shoot..."

"That didn't stop them from sending me to go die"
 
"If she goes, then I go."
 
"Okay."
 
"I ain't goin'.  Except as orbital support.  Kinda what the Oracle's built for.  Speaking of.  She gonna be okay?"
 
Remi shrugs and heads off after the decline. She didn't have an answer to her other questions.
 
"The ship will be fine, they have amazing tech here.", Sarah reassured with a smile as she patted Thorn on the shoulder.
 
"Apparently, if they can help me grow up, as someone claimed.  But they need better scans.  Which is why we and my guards are going to Medical, right?"
