Mission: Season 2; Mission 2: It's Only Fun Until Someone Gets Hurt
Location: City-Ship; Command Center; Conference Room
Timeline: October 20th 4566; Afternoon

A Federation Diplomatic shuttle docked with the cityship without any explanation as to why and a group of spec ops soldiers, delegates and a familar face stepped off the shuttle. A couple officials followed him along with guards and headed for Scott's bunker. Jake Noris; the President's Chief of Staff and the delegates from TUC arrived and Seph let them in. The delegates surrounded the gate as one of the scientists with them walked up to the panel and dialed to the prison. The guards went in and dragged Jack out of the hell he was trapped in. The guards held him up so he could recover from his experience after bringing him out. A few minutes and a medical check later Jack with his hands behind his back cupped together said "Mr. Pine; it seems someone likes you... Thanks to Orteria the Judicial Tribunal has revewied your case and by order of the Executive Office I have been authorized to grant you a full pardon in exchange for your service.... You do have a choice though... You can decline and we can lock you back in that hole... So what say you?"
Meanwhile others on the delegation that did not go with the Chief of Staff began to set up a conference room; a rather large one... actually. Somethign big was going on.


"Give me the mission."


"You will be assigned to Tactical Team one on a permanent basis." Jake said to him. "If you have questions Rembrant will be your handler... Talk to her... With that said... Welcome back to the world of the living Lt. Commander."
"Give him back his gear.... I hav eother things to attend to."


Thorn had to admit she was curious. Such a big and important party showing up with no warning and no prep? Something was going on, and as she looked for her Oracle, she gave a quick call to Remi. "Two questions. One, was Sarah released yet, and two, you know what's going on? Bunch of spec-ops guys running around and someone in some very high rank looking gear."

The guards nod and do just that before Jake and his diplomats head to the large conference room. 

Remi gets the message "They released her awhile ago... well... a day ago... She was on our last mission... I also got shitfaced with her... Delegation you say... no idea... maybe I should go there though; you are welcome to join :P"


looks like something interesting will be happening sweety


Ceci jumped up and down "YAY!!! THE ENEMY WILL DIE FASTER!" Seph shrugged. "Stuff always happens here; it just never involves us."


"Sure thing. Also, I was on the flight deck, and I can't find the Oracle anywhere? You see what they did with her wreck?"


"Last I heard she was being fixed... Talk to Dr. Johnson." remi replied to her VX message.


dont forget that dumbass from my department...i gotta remember to make him regret the mistake of overstepping the boundaries if even just a little bit


"Way some of the others put her repair bill... She's got a new hull." Thorn sent a digital shrug as she summoned her gear to her new micro apartment and then started moving towards this new conference. (edited)


One of the spec ops guys who was still in Scott's bunker said. "Sir; you are being requested in the conference room." he then leaves feeling like staying here would mean his death.


Jack leaves as well, and heads to the conference area. He takes a seat towards the back and waits.


Aidan was in his office, whittling down the shifting mountains of digital paperwork. He got up the grab another large coffee and a snack bar, his VX went off. Seph sent him a heads up on the incoming people. "Great." Aidan said sarcastically. He checked his uniform, switched to a barely warm triple espresso, downed it quickly and was off down the corridor.


Sarah also heads there as well since she is assigned as team one.

Ceci sits being a good android realizing who was here. 
Remi was finally summoned to the conference room. Most of team one and basically any command staff officer left on the station who was not sent with Yuka. Once everyone was assembled Huris Magevine which Aidan and Yuka met once but aside from who he was most people did not actually know who this guy was aside from the fact that the took over as the Minister of Defense and War. Huris spoke into a mic. "Good afternoon everyone I am Dr. Huris Magevine; long story short I was one of the Shadow Fire crew who served under Alexandria Werner and rescued Lady Hukari when she was just a little girl... Since then I have held various positions in her government... I am here today to explain some changes that will be taking place within Trinity... Thanks to the intervention of the Architect Trinity's forces are now large enough to fight the Swarm threat effectively and following the Senate's attempted Coup The United Council has taken over direct control of Trinity. With these changes comes necessary change." He pauses for dramatic effect.


Aidan sat in the chair, sipping water.


Thorn had taken the opportunity to try and slip in under the guise of one of Remi's attendants. She smiled inwardly when she saw Sarah, but hoped that she wouldn't be immediately recognized. She'd handle the squealing and delight when the meeting was over.


Sarah gave her son a smile and a quick hug before taking a seat next to him.


Huris then continued "The first of these changes is the change of the name of the Trinity Organization to the Trinity Combined Service; a branch of the Galactic Alliance Military existing to respond to and properly deal with threats to the Galaxy and the universe. With this change and due to the size of the Combined Service Commodore Yuka Layton is hereby promoted to the rank of Vice Admiral and appointed as the commander of the Combined Service with its headquarters located in Memorial City." (The six cityship floating thing with that damn reactor ball thing Scott; its floating in orbit of Earth II).
"Additionally the former XO of Trinity; Aidan Thornton is appointed the Executive officer of the combined service and promoted to Brigadier General. He will be handling command of the fleet from within the field; this was decided as the Unified Council is smart enough to realize General Thornton would not accept this appointment being strapped to a desk."


Aidan smiled at that. "At least someone is listening." he offered


"the next appointments for the organizations leadership are... "

He begins to read off of a list and note that peoples ranks would be changing:

he then says "With these appointments command staff for each of the 11 task forces within the Trinity Combined Service has been also completed... Of relevance to this operational unit.... Sakura Carain will be commanding Task Force 1 but will be handling oversight of the task force from Earth II at the capital to handle defense of the President. This means that her Executive Officer and new commander of the Onyx Cityship; Sumire Rembrant would be normally assuming direct command over Task Force 1... With this rather large role change and considering her appointment as the leader of her father's military Princess Sumire will be attaining the rank of Captain." As Huris finishes Remi mumbled about everyone knowing shes her dad's pet now.
"Due to all of this the Service will need scientific support... Effective as of now the Interuniversal Technology Command will be absorbed into the combined service. It will continue its roles of managing the gates, certain essential functions but will also be providing direct technological support to the service." (edited)
"That is all... Some of you will be individually getting information from us on changes to commands, your assignments and various other administrative changes following the move to the Combined Service such as those who formerly were SSection 6 being part of their own division within Trinity; that is now no longer the case... You are officially Commissioned Officers of the Service."
Huris then passes the meeting off to Aidan after sending him a VX message that he would be assuming command of the Providence as his flagship.


Aidan stands and thanks Huris. "Well, I would have at least tried to prepare a speech for this. We have a lot or work ahead of us people. Keep your heads wired tight. I am proud of each and every one of you I trained. Questions? Comments? Concerns?"

"Correct." Huris said.
Mimi then stands. "So I will be staying here for awhile then..." "Yes, Miss Ward will be returning to Earth abut you and Lt. Commander Masters will be assigned permanently to this installation." "Wait... Kira?" "He will be assigned as one of the ES officers for Trinity as will Alister Kai-Baru."


Mimi hurriedly sits seeming happy her fiance would finally be returned to her.


Aidan piped up. "That means I get a yeoman. Yes. Someone else to punish with paperwork."


Remi shrugs "Does that mean I... get help?" Huris laughs. "Of course... your office will have many aides.... get to appointing... and General... you too..."
Huris then leaves the room with a bunch of his men leaving Sumire and Aidan to cmmmand their people.


Aidan walked up to Sumire."That was boring and exciting all at the same time."


"politicians and their talking.... um..." She stands. "Dismissed damn it! If the politicians leaving didnt signal anything the meeting is over..."
Most of the room disperses.

Talking out loud, Aidan said, "I wonder where they plan on reassigning Captain Steiner from the Prov. It's not like it was meant to be a permanent posting. Probably back to the shipyards."



remi shrugged. "Maybe; or ship development here.. the cityships build ships... erm... anyway... oh hey..." Remi messages Thorn offering hera position as one of her assistants.


Jack and Sarah get up to leave.


remi follows; she had lots ahead of her to do. "So... they released you..." She asked catching up to Jack.


"Yes ma'am, that is correct.", Jack said professionally.


"I never did get to thank you for trying to help me..." remi said to Jack doing a full bow. "I'm glad you did."


Thorn slipped out now apprised of the status of the fleet she found herself part of, despite still getting used to the knowledge dump that came with her new body. Right before she saw Sarah again and slipped in behind her like a ghost, letting the air fill with the scent of pomegranates.



"I help because I care, and because I want to do more then what I was made for. Helping is only human.", Jack answered back.


"We can talk more about that later... and Sarah... same to y ou as well... I really enjoyed... last night..."


Assistant? Do I get to keep my ship and fly sorties?


Remi then turns around to leave beore she bursted out in blushing.
She was thankful for the message to distract her though. "Yeah and yeah... I just feel like you'd be of good help; you have unique knowledge I don't."


"Thorn you've never been good at stealth. Now come here so I can hug you.", Sarah said over her shoulder before turning to Remi, "never had anyone thank me for that."


She VX'ed back to Thorn.


In walked in a tall green woman, even in BDU's is was hard to miss her curves. Walking up to Aidan, the woman said, Major Brigid Merkara, reporting for duty Sir. I had to track you down." 

Returning the salute, Aidan checked her orders on a padd she carried. "Ah you're my XO. Should be an interesting assignment. I'll call the ship and arrange quarters and meet you there shortly. Dismissed Major." They exchanges salutes and he looks around realizing there wasn't anything else to do. He gets ready to leave.

"I'd rather you bend me over a classic car and tag me with a whip and make your wife jealous!" Thorn wrapped her arms around Sarah, unusually high for how her arms used to sit. "So we want to make my new boss jealous and get arrested for public indecency?"

Consider it done. All I have is evasive maneuvering, six different engineering degrees, and dear Gods, is this a Magic engineering course in here?


Sarah gave a grin, "I'm game, as long as I get a turn on that hood."


Aidan walked over to Remi. "I guess we'll have to widen our hide n seek area since we'll be on different ships now."


"This is still your base of operations..." Remi told him.


Jack gave a feint chuckle, "You go have fun mum, I'm going to go do some miles on the bike, maybe get a drink." He said almost tired. (edited)


"I gotta find and check on my ship, hopefully they haven't found the nasty surprise it throws every few days." She referred to how the ship used reactor waste gasses to fuel the RCS thrusters, and vented those every week or so.


"Still feels a bit off. It hasn't been that long that I've been on the Lavie and yet, leaving makes me a bit unsettled." Aidan added..


"I'm actually going to be choosing it as my ship when I go off site; you know how a base CO has an attached ship they can use... Between that and the Murasashi... heh... I have all the ships I need; someone would be stupid to attack this fleet especially with my father's ships here... With those ships here I doubt that you'll have ot leave much." remi replied


Jack and Sarah leave.


"Well... I gotta go get my ... fleet... set up..." remi said before shrugging. She still felt... odd... and she knew even after that mission they jsut had she was not 100 percent. She needed to rest... Hopefully she could.


Sarah: See ya later Thorn


"No reason to. There are some Marine bases like that. You could spend your whole life on one and not need to go anywhere else. It;s self contained.
Aidan offered. "Don't be a stranger. You could chase me a little" he said winking (edited)


"And if we can get Oracle back to flight worthy status, we won't be flying into an ambush... Ever. Just send us ahead and we'll give you a databurst of everything we see, including ID tags of cloaked ships." Thorn shrugged, pinging Sarah back with a virtual smile. Love to, Sarah.
