Mission: Season 2: Mission 1: Day after Day
Location: DFS Lavie - Hallway near Security Station 3
Timeline: October 12th 4566 Early Morning

Lee was walking around the Lavie, trying to get a feeling for the ship that he'd recently been assigned to due to recent events and was dressed in his usual outfit which wasn't the standard issue uniform for someone in the military but more like a business man after a bender, the only known indicator of his rank was the two gold pips on his right collar.

His dull red eyes took in the ship and saw the occasional lax in security in what appeared to some as a non-critical locations among other such things.

Remi had completed her initial plans for adjustments of the Battlesuit tech that the marines and tactical personnel used. She was quite impressed with her work and had even coded it. So now she was just doing the finishing touches on a padd so she could go back to the robotics lab and finish the program; upon her travels though she encounters a security officer she never had before. She observed him from a distance noting him seeming to take mental notes on the status of some areas of the ship. She put her padd away and continued to follow him in her blouse, jeans and boots... Typical attire for her and since Information Security was more of a Support Service that did clandestine operations it was rare they actually were required to be in uniform (Plus most of them are cryptographic desk monkeys and data processing people anyway.). Eventually after following him for awhile she approached "Um... What are you doing?" The much younger girl asked him.

Lee blinked a couple of times as his sharp hearing caught the sound of either a dove cooing or someone asking a question to which he turned to face the source of the question and saw a slightly bewildered young girl standing there dressed more like a nice quiet libary girl rather then someone on a star ship before he straightened up to his full...ish height and ran a hand over the back of his neck. "Quizzing, questing, and maybe just a little confusingly of things." he said in a voice that one could describe as "tired" but his posture didn't agree with his voice. "People always think that when a ship is boarded by a hostile force that it always *MUST* be from somekind of oooohhh critical junction, right?" he went on making the "scary hands" gesture when he went "oooohhh" as he waited to see what she thought.

As he turned to her she just watched him and observed as he spoke; he seemed a bit off... Especially his later comments. Remi tilted her head as he finished speaking. "Um... what... so your evaluating the ship for breaks in its security... Is that what I understand... and yes; any force can be attacked from the inside; that is sort of a given... So who are you anyway and; your a new crew member here?" Remi asked. She tilted her head at him trying to analyze him to figure out if he was insane or just a little off.

Lee looked at the younger girl and ran a hand in a tired motion over his face, "I'm trying to make sure that all of the angles don't get cut off like has happened in the past that I've seen. There was one time when me and my old crew were attempting to take out a FSF heavy cruiser that was acting all piratey near Sullust, we got on board in a non important area of the ship near the ACC, which is the Auxillery Communications Control, whch is actually where the master communications switchboard is and we hacked it, taking out all of their communications with an old Earth pop song." he explained before he blinked and shook his head.

"But then again I still wonder if Herr Carradine has forgiven me for almost getting her shot during that particular gun battle yet..." he added almost as an afterthought.

Lee then shook his head to clear it, "But to answer your last question, young lady. I'm Leland Pierce, lieutenant in security." he said a little half-bow at his waist. "One of my specialities for Andrew, Major Weaver, is thinking outside of the box if you will...and you?"

"Well welcome aboard Lt. Pierce; I'm Sumire Rembrant... due to my sisters metalling most just call me Remi these days. I am with the Information Security Division." Remi replied introducing herself ot him. She too formally bowed to him.

Lee blinked a couple of times before asking "Information Security Divison, isn't that just a fancy way of saying you're like a psi judge or something, Miss Remi?" in a respectul yet confused tone as he looked at the younger woman. "and you can call me Lee....or Land if you wish...just don't call me Shirley or late for dinner and we'll be fine." he said with a hint of a smile crossing his face.

She shurgs as he speaks and then replies. "No, information security handles management of information flow, information gathering, review and then the actual security protocols related to information and information personnel... My role there is such that basically I handle informants and gather information off of them and through political channels. I am also technically what would be considered a field agent... Basically we are inteligence without the whole torture, black ops stuff... In the time Mizriki and Layton come from information security is similar to the NSA." She explained then she said "Pleasure to meet you Lee."

Lee rubbed his chin thoughtfully as Remi explained what she meant and then nodded slowly in return. "Hm, so you're more like Her Majesty's Public Security Section Three then over on Salusia..." he said before giving her sly yet warm smile and saying "Neat, well if you're more like that bunch then that instantly gets you a cup of good tea and some maki rolls on my dollar...up for it?" he asked.

A strange look then crossed his face as he snapped his fingers, "It's the least I can do for a fellow trouble shooter, Remi."

Remi wondered what was truly up with this guy; he was really not normal... Even for this place. When he referenced a colonies government and their public security information section she nodded. "Um... Sure; I guess... and yes... similar to that agency." Remi waited for him to lead the way as she found him even more confusing.

Lee smiled and motioned for Remi to follow him before he turned and start to walk down the corridor, his dull red eyes alert for any signs of trouble...or mischief to be made. "I really enjoyed dealing with that section for a bit...even if the ones in section nine were a bunch of fuddy duddies...but the one in the black pajamas was pretty neat during that case.." he said before turning his head to regard Remi. "Even if he did think he was a patron sait of uzis and trench knives...so, other then doing that what do you do?"

Remi followed him as he moved. She noticed how hyper sensitive he was to his suroundings. She listened and nodded. She actually did not know the person he was talking about but none the less she listened still following. When he asked her what else she does with her time she shrugged. "I play games, read manga... um... study... What with changing my classes form being in person to online its been annoying. I am actually surprised they even let a high school senior who is about to graduate in the militar in the first place but apparently its been done before with Misuki Raion and her lover Josh Travis." Remi explained as the two traveled.

Lee nodded, "So outside of killing things for a living you enjoy manga and studying, which are noble things indeed to do for relaxation, but are they the only things that you do, Remi?" he asked honestly. "I mean for instance I spent six months learning spirit pathways on Dantrov; that was hella sweet but I couldn't remember all of the holidays and the people of Dantrov have a *LOT* of holidays. Lessee, what else've I done? I enjoy music so I played bass guitar in a punk band, that was pretty good...OH! Even did a tour as a sushi ninja on Tomodachi. You like maki rolls? I make great fuckin' maki rolls." he said with a beaming smile on his face.

"But everything aside, ah, so that's all that you do is read manga and study...what about hanging out with your mates and everything of that kind of like, Remi?" he asked in all honesty.

"I don't exactly have that many friends... Ari is really the closest thing to a friend I have on this ship... I think I am starting to make more though but... Yeah; I basically study, play VR games and read... Not much of a life..." Remi said as she shrugged.

That actually drew Lee up to a stop as he turned to look at the young girl with an arched eyebrow. "Everybody needs a lot of friends, Remi, a person could be judged in death by the number of their friends and consider themselves wealthy beyond the dreams of any of the Gods Above or Below." he said in a warm but serious tone with a smile. "Don't worry, we'll fix that and plus you have a life, it's just in the waiting room waiting for pick up."

Lee then started moving again as the two drew close to the lounge.

"That is a strange thing to say... as far as the my life being in a waiting room... but friends... Well... Sure; if you have any ideas on how to make more..." Remi followed him into the lounge and took a table with two booths.

Lee smiled as he unlimbered the weapon that was strapped to his back and slipped it into the booth before sliding in himself. "Well there's me...unless you don't think I'm cool enough to be one of the Remi's friends?" he offered up with a smile and a wink before leaning back in his seat, reaching into a pocket to pull out a flask which he unscrewed the top of it before taking a sip and regarded the young girl. "But then again beginnings are always interesting aren't they?" he mused, before offering the flask to her.
