Mission: Season 2: Mission 1: Day after Day
Location: DFS Lavie - Ari's Quarters
Timeline: October 11th 4566 - Late Night

As Ari left the girls to go to sleep she sat on her bed thinking for a moment and the last conversation she had with Jack really didn't seem to go well... Plus she felt like so much had happened... Plus she wanted her new friend to have a taste of her personal life; maybe she might even be able to help her smooth things over with him. Ari sends a text to Flan "Come to my quarters when you can dear..." She also sends a similar message to Jack.


flan just getting back to her quarters she flops down onto her bed releasing a breath of relaxation until before just getting a beep on her vx, she opens the message, reads it, then replies "I'm coming.." she then stands back up and heads over to her quarters, just arriving knocking on the door, then opening it herself with an over-ride "what need something ari..?"


Ari looked over at her as she entered on her own. There was a box on her bed. "Hey... So I got what you had asked for and I could teach you to use them... Also I figured I would do something that would broaden all of our social palettes... I inivited one of my other partners for us to interact with; he doesn't seem aall that good at interacting with me and I him... I know you usually don't like new people from what Rem's told me but I think it would do all of us good to like try to learn for each other and make more friends?"
Ari said to her taking a seat on the bed and opening the box it comtained water gems.
"I'm kind of an idiot when it comes to social skills..."
She laughed at herself


Jack lay across his bed, restless as usual, laying awake as the message popped up. At first he groaned before seeing who the sender was. He rolled out of bed with a thump and put on a muscle shirt, jeans, and slipped some boots on before leaving. It only took a minute to get there, "You asked me to come?", He asked knocking.(edited)


"and i'm overly sheltered.. so we all have an equal starting ground.. I didn't even know what a birthday was.. though its supposed to be common knowledge.."


"But hey; we have similar likes too... I mean I could show you all the stuff I have on my computer; it would so kill my rep as a badass..."
Ari said girlishly.
"THough...." She adopts a thinking posture "that flower thing probably already did that..."


Jack knocks again


flan walks over to the box of water gems as she alerts a private courier, a little rumba-like bot comes in, recieving the games, and heads toward's Flan's quarters with high speed, flan keeping a gem for herself, looking over to ari then to jack "Oh I remember you.. kind of.. I helped upgrade your possessor a little.."


"oh..."

all jack saw was a little robot scurry passed him really fast as the door opened


Jack paid the bot no mind as it darted by, "If I'm interrupting something I can come back later."


"I was just told to come here.. I just arrived about 4-6 minutes ago..? I guess we're both supposed to be here.."


"see... nobody ever sees the tech work I do; but being in the information unit thats a good thing; with Remi and help from one of the operations people and sometimes lumi we recoded all the mechs operating systems to make them faster and more efficient... more responsive... same thing with all the fighters and other mobile combat systems... Er...m.... but thats not why I called you here... um... so our last talk... Well I call you to help me and then things never end so well... so... I thought having someone else here who equally cares for me but is also a third party might be helpful... cuase i'm inept..."
She chuckles sarcastically at her own comment.


"I guess I'm just not trying hard enough," He said rubbing his eyes, trying to get himself fully awake.  "Mind if I take a seat?"


"Eh... how are you not trying hard enough..."


"forget that."


"and its a free universe..."


"what happened..?"


Jack took a seat. Free universe, huh, not what he would of thought of kikyo. But this was somewhere else.


"So... we always get into arguments about where we stand... I mean like... he as with you are some of the friends I rely on to sort of help fill the place my best friend and fiance held... that sounds bad... like I'm using you guys as a crutch... I am just not good at saying this stuff... and where do I stand with you anyway... Sure y ou wanna help me and I've basically told you that this isn't like a bf thing but like... where do we stand anyway? See like I'm even more clear as to where I stand with her as to where I am with you... cause one minute we make out, talk and are good friends then the next I yell at you; we have angry sex and then I punch you in the face..."
"Not to mention all the fucked u p shit that has happened over the past two days... Some of it was epic; other things not so much..."
When she said epic she looked at Flan
then the other she stared off as if recalling a memory


flan keeping a cold blank face "hm?"
"anyways.. you jack..?"


"Can't say I know anything about the last two days. I've been getting my people in order, and I've enstated Kessler with a rank in S6. So you'll have to fill me in on that. As for our usual conversations, that sounds close enough to how they go. Though I think that's mostly my fault. I've been all over the board lately. As for where we stand.......that depends on how we see each other....I know my feelings, but I can't read your mind," Jack explained, rubbing his neck.


"so romantically.. ari.. you want to know where things stand between you and jack..? As you describe it, it seems quite messy.."


"Erm... well romantically is not really what I mean; its more overall... the whole romance thing... I have a lot going on... I mean... sex is sex but I have other bonds with the people I do stuff with; sex is just sex... I don't pound someone unless I like them in some way or another... As for the last two days; got into a fight with you Jack, got into a fight with Hikaru, got told I was basically worthless by Gainz... got to watch tons of people die and told that what I was experiencing was not horrible enough... and well... everyone knows how horrible the last three weeks have been... its like just reroll the whole damn month..." She shrugged as she sat crosslegged


"I wouldn't say it was a fight per say....."


"and jack.."
"whats your side of what you think?"


"What are you specifically asking flan?"



"what is the main cause between the skirmish between you and ari.."


"Again I wouldn't say it was a fight per say. I was trying to help her deal with some personal things."


"okay..? and ari.. what upset you about what happened with jack.. the point is to get you two on mended ground.. as a crew we suffered enough from the eradication on earth, the last thing we need is internal bad blood.." flan said as the hand she held the crystal with starting steaming wispy-like as it got colder


"I guess... I don't really have a problem with anything... as long as he knows where things stand and how things are I'm good... is like the arrangement with you, Rem and the other girls; we are friends... I mean in some ways closer than friends but its not like we are all each others waifu's or anything... eh?" She said


"something like that.. I just do it when work is about to make kill something.." the steam died down, as she continued. "the purpose is if you're not ready or don't prefer a relationship, that's the person's wish.. But my question is, Jack.. how were you trying to deal with her personal issues..? It still feels like something went down.. no?"


"I don't remember what it was we argued about specifically. I was trying to help with her problems by willingly letting her take them out on my, or just talk to me about them. We've always been back and forth with our problems, and those times have been rough. So that's why where we stand has been confusing."(edited)


"Plus you had problems of your own; so its not like I er... well its like I said im not your wife or anything so what is it my business to like get deep into your... um... that stuff that happened between you and..."
She stops as seh doesnt want to bring back those memories for him


"Again, Its been dealt with. I know where I am at with myself, What I need to do. So I am trying to help you now, didn't I promise to be there when you needed me?"(edited)


"So... I'm confused... We have no problems then?"


"I never thought we had any to begin with. What problems would we have?"


"now I stand.. What's the issue, was there drama for the sake of drama?"


"Um... honestly... I have no idea... I got into a fight with him on Earth but then we made up and I told him to stop being an asshole; then we met up again and I thought he was avoiding me then he offerred to help me... now here we are... I guess that there isn't a problem..." She does the nonvurbal I don't know thing.


Jack shrugged as well.


"well since there's nothing else wrong.. What now?-- As long as you guys understand what each other wants.. and respect the wishes and no forcing.. everything should be fine.."


"Your adorable... even when solving peoples problems in that coat of yours... absolutely fabulous... best girl seriously..." Ari said to her.


Jack just remained quiet.


Ari noticd he was quiet now and looked at him "Whats up?"


"Nothing just didn't want to interrupt you. You two seem like good friends."


flan stood there slightly blushing "well.. is this all you called us for? that ended pretty quick.."


"Dear was he interrupting us...?" Ari asked Flan


"he interrupted those precious 2 minutes of discussion" she laughed off in sarcasm


"So much interrupting..." She said sarcastically smirking. "So in other words your all good Jack... okay?" Ari said sweetly.


"I'll go try to sleep then.", He said getting up to head for the door.


"wait"


"Awh..."


He stopped


"theres something I have to discuss.. Either you or kessler, it doesn't matter who.. we need a bodyguard for an excursion, Im building myself a deadly attack-support suit for this mission.. I know someone.. named warren.. there's a important task we need to make.. you guys are the only ones who will know this for now.."
"we're preforming a recon in a supposed wreckage.. appearantly its a larger sister ship of the nuance, it went offline after a distress signal went up and was quickly taken down.."
"the ship is floating, barely working in deep space.."


"Take the yacht... Rem-rem can go with  you... ill send her with a battlesuit too"


"which means life support is barely there.. and appearantly warren said theres something on there.. that may assist with the threat of the scourge.."


"You can have my new shadow marshal. He'll take the job. If that's all, I have gene therapy in the morning. I need to at least attempt sleep," Jack said rubbing his eyes again.


"erm... okay... well... if you need to go dont let us keep you..." Ari said in a direct manner.


"Was there still something you wanted to talk about?"


"im fine.. you Ari?"


"Just go..."


"Are you sure?"


"Yes... don't let us keep you..."


"......alright. Goodnight ladies. I'll be New man in the morning," Jack said before stepping through the door.
