Mission: Season 2: Mission 1: Day after Day
Location: Bridge and cargo bay 2
Timeline: Oct 15, 4566 afternoon

Aidan was on the bridge. A normal lazy second shift. He concentrated on performance reviews and other minutia as the three week trip to their destination was a boring one. Boring was fine. For right now, Aidan had enough of action to fill his needs and then some.  Then consoles alll over the bridge started beeping.

"Sir. I am picking up a very small ship on long range sensors. Drifting in space. Now a very low power distress call. The signal is very faint. I doubt anyone farther away would pick it up." Trent offer.

"Inform the Captain, and adjust course for intercept. Take this one by the book people." Aidan offered.

Ari came from her ready room. "Report."  Aidan stood up and surrendered the chair. Ari sat and looked the at the sensors.  The helm officer said, "Approaching coordinates."

The Captain said. "Drop to impulse. Full scan."

"Sir it's a  two man shuttle. Two life signs. Extremely faint. Sensors indicate some kind of cyro pods. I suggest caution as the craft is very fragile." Trent offered.

"Beam it to cargo bay two. Full decon in effect." Ari ordered. The crew sprung into action. Medical team to the cargo bay. Decon in effect."

"Affirmative Captain." Sarissa said. "I will go myself."
Arriving at the cargo bay, the cryo pod was being decontaminated. Once the field cleared she approached it cautiously, tricorder in hand."

There was a computer and visual display next to the cryo pod. The glass was frosted over, impossible to see inside.

On the monitor it read, [United Nations Space Exploration Colonization Operative: * ERROR *] The rest of it claimed that only authorized personnel may see more. And that there needed to be a specific security key to open the pod.
Eire left the group.Yesterday at 8:00 PM

Sarissa scanned the pod and added the data from internal sensors. "She cleared the last of the frost from the console. Tapping her commbadge she was going to call Nik, when Aidan arrived. "There is a keypad here, it seems to be locked."

Aidan sent a code from his VX and his infiltration kit appeared. He pulled out a special scanner. He took a bit of time.  He attached a cable and it ran through a few permutations before it clicked. "There you Doctor." He put his tools away.

Sarissa scanned the pod again, this time it pulled up a menu. She keyed in the sequence to revive the occupants.
She kept the scanner in continous loop as the pod creaked and opened. Scanning inside the pod, she said, I'm detecting no biohazards or foreign contaminants. It's safe"

Within the Cryo Pod, there was a human male and a young dog. The data being corrupted on the computer, the only data that was able to be retrieved was, [Occupant: NATO Phoenix Subject, SPECIAL| Date of Launch: April 4th, 2073]

When the Pod opened, Kyle and his 6 month old pup Holley, a Smoke Grey, Blue Weimerianer. The man within appeared to be a young adult, about 18-20 years of age.

Sarissa didn't expect the canine. She pulled a hypospray from the kit and pressed it against his neck. It hissed as the stimulant was delivered.

Kyle awoke coughing. Likely due to the primitive cryogenic technology used to put him to sleep.

His vision was hazy as he looked up at her with his fogged glasses making it not any better. He slowly got up and felt Holly slowly slid down off him. He looked around slightly confused, as this was not his destination. Or so what he thought.

Sarissa tried Federation Standard, which was close to the programming language of the pod. "Do not attempt to talk yet. Your system is still recovering from stasis. She handed the patient a small plastic cup with a tasteless medication fluid, mosty water with an additive. "Please drink this."

Kyle slowly took the cup and drank it. He regained his vision looking at her, “Not... Darwin...4.” He said quietly tired. Clearly suffering from Cryo sickness.

He seemed not angry or any form negative. In fact he was rather calm and collected for the situation he was in.

Sarissa said, "I am not familiar with that planet."

“Darwin 4, its a .84 on the comparison scale.” Kyle said grabbing his head, “Never felt this before, where am I exactly?” He said in a curious and slightly joyful mood. Even giving a slight smile dispute the situation he was in.

Aidan took over. "Depends. What year do you think this is?"

“Well, assuming it hasn’t changed. 2073.” He answered simply.

"Okay. Let's back up. I'm Colonel Aidan Thornton. Your name?" He asked

“Name? I don’t really have one.” He said joyfully.
“I guess they called me Azazel for the longest time. So that could work!”

"MIster Azazel. This is the Galactic Federation ship Lavie. We are currently on a mission to the Aloris Belt. It's been longer than you expect in cyro-sleep." Aidan offered.

“Ah, I see time has finally cought up with me, though I still beat it in the long run!” He said joyfully looking back down at his dog, “Still asleep, could you wake her please?” He asked politely and with educate not traditionally seen. Having a bit of a Welsh or Scottish Accent in stating it.

Sarissa picked up the pup and scanned it at close range. She started adjusted the medication.

"Since you are sitting down...this is the year 4566." Aidan offered.

“Oh I’m not surprised. I’ve been through worse.” He said calmly and still in his joyful mood.
“I mean, what’s an extra 2000 years going to do.”

"Well since you are remarkably calm, I'd like you to have Doctor Slane here give you a full physical and than issue you quarters. Is there anything you need from the shuttle or cyropod as we'll scrap the rest." Aidan offered.

“I have a few bronze... artifacts and many journals in the locker, as well as some pet toys for Holley here. Other than that I came with not that much. Oh yes that reminds me, where are the other seven?” He asked joyfully.

"Your ship was floating dead in space. We'll check the computer logs on the shuttle and we'll see what we can learn." Aidan offered.

A long and silent pause hit him, as his smile had a slight twitch. “Ah I see, a shuttle. Why yes of course. That can only mean that all died.” He said in a more worn mood however still trying to stay positive.

Sarissa intejected. "I think we should table this discussion for another time. The health of both patients are more important and can be solved later."

“I know I am perfectly fine! It’s only Holley I have slight concern for. Don’t waste your time on me. However now come to think of it. Taking a through examination would lead to further... never mind ignore my rambling.” He instantly jumped right back to being joyful, hoping out of the Cryo Pod perfectly fine, picking up his 56 pound dog with little trouble and putting her down on the floor next to him where she sat wagging her tail.

"A physical examination is mandatory." Sarissa said.  Aidan offered, "You are getting physical or you are going to the brig. This is a military ship."

“Ah, the last time I questioned a higher authority. Now that’s a story, I was thrown into a burlap sack, but get this. Inside with me, was a dog, monkey, and a snake. Then we were thrown into a river.” He said joyfully as if nothing was wrong.

Two armed security members came up at Aidan's gesture. "Escort the guest to Sickbay."

“Come on Holley, Jezz just like Tiberius. All are the same.” He said Joyfully following them in a very strict and formal upright position. With his hands held behind him on his lower back. Holley following next to him.
