It's a trap!

Mission: Season 2; Mission 3: We All Know What to Do; Let’s Not Do That…
Location: Council on planet
Timeline: October 29th 4566 - Afternoon

Remi headed off to the location of the council continuing her trek as her detail returned to the station and Aidan and Lilly were; off elsewhere. Mimi was in the lounge on the cityship just chilling whilst texting Kira though he would not respond because he is on a mission.

 

scott shoots a message to tessa to see if she thinks the giant bug light would work on the giant bugs...cause this planet probly wishes they were gone

 

Tessa sends him a picture of an actual fly zapper then a :blobfrown: .

 

maybe a giant salt shooter to go  with the fly swatter

 

Brigid Merkara is on her first off duty shift since arriving on the Providence. Clad in a tight pair of jeans, a loose royal blue silk blouse and high heeled boots she was looking for new things. Her green skin popped against the blue of her blouse.

 

She then appears in the room where Scott is. "You realize your boss is alone right or are you too much of a spaz to keep track of your people... Maybe try your tazer on yourself... I have heard its quite electrifying."



Remi soon arrives at a building and goes inside. It is empty; she continues down the stairs of this building lower into the ground. She shrugs as it goes deeper and deeper; eventually into a large meeting hall. Only as soon as she arrives in the room the doors seal themselves. "Just great... and VX is out... good job... another trap.... oy vey... predictable much.... the moment Aidan is given my blessing and I dismiss my security this happens. RIP me..."

 

Hikaru was nursing the worst migrain he had ever held in his life time. The pilot was sequestered at the moment in his ship/shuttle he was trying to look at the controls, and make sense of controls that he knew intimately, but all he could hear was the massive psychic disco going on just outside of the walls.

 

Bugs appear in the room she is in as "Congratulations" is heard in an obnixious game show voice. "You've become our prisoner!" She sighs and her armor covers her body. "Fuck you."  She replies to the intercom.

 

Brigid finds a lounge and walks in, the place cool, but a smattering of people milling about. She orders and Irish and turns around to survey the place closer.

 

i wasnt called to this meeting though ...but maybe if your being thiss annoyed maybe i should go down to make sure nothing bad happens...ceci dear call for 8 queens and get ready for possible combat and mybe pack spare gear armor and weapons

 

"I'm not annoyed... just stating the obvious... it is your choice." Nore said as she shrugs "plus a giant bug zapper in space wouldn't work otherwise it would already exist."

Ceci calls her pets as her android little girl self and the death robot versions follow their master.

Godwhin sits at the command station as the comm officer turns "Sir we have lost our sensor and com readings from Captain rembrant." "Possible causes Ensign?" "Unknown." "And of her detail." "They all returned to the station sir."

Godwhin sighs "contact team one and prod them repeatedly."

 

scott is geared in his parmour ready to do something pretty stupid buty hey thats  par for the course

 

"Yes commander."

 

 

Aidan deep in intimate contact with Lilly, inwardly swore when his comm went off. He knew he would be something important, but the timing lacked finesse. When he pulled it up, trying not to lose concentration, he swore. This time out loud. "Son og a bitch!"  In a quick fluid motion he was up and keyed his VX for combat mode.

 

scott seeing the bulletin and sends a  message to godwin im getting a team of 8 ceci queens and myself with extra gear. should i up the number of cecis to deploy?(edited)

"Understood; permission to deploy granted." The com officer replied to Scott after getting permission.

 

Lilly follows Aidan concerned about his swearing. her clothes reappear.

 

with all hands on deck, and the permission to deploy granted, albeit to a different fighter, Hikaru launched his own ship, dropping towards the planet.



Ari would kill him if he let her sister die, so he needed to make a B-line to her.

 

Scott orders the number of queens to deploy to double with him then beams down to the outside of the bulding

 

Scott, the robots and girl Ceci appear outside of the building.

 

Seleni arrives in her power armor, followed by Dawn as she arrives in front of the building

 

Aidan's power armor appeared. His pistols, sword, and this time a semi-auto 25mm grenade launcher with spare magazines. His pace if anything quickened, now at quick trot towards the last position the command center sent to him.

 

The bugs where Remi are move to attack her so they can take her. She moves to dodge.

 

 

hey aidan im gonna quarantine the area with these queens do you want them to do

 

Lilly and Aidan arrive outside of the building as soon as they are ready as Lilly just moved them there with her ships teleporters.

 

sweetie go find remi and get her out alive

 

Aidan orders, "Set up them as  a fallback and prepare for the worst."(edited)

 

Ceci nods and goes running down the stairs playfully.

 

Aidan follows down the stairs. Hoping that Sumire was okay.

 

Lilly follows him.

Remi attacks one of the bugs but the bug avoids her attack.

 

"Well....I doubt that anything that gets in her way is good as dead. Not that there should be." Seleni says following the two with Dawn following, albeit concerned.

 

Using his sensors in the Power Armor, Sumire's trail stopped at a bulkhead. "I want this open NOW. Preferrably without damage to the inside until we know what's there."

 

The ship gave a landing beep, the auto pilot did most of the work as Hikaru had been suiting up, strapping a larger assault riffle to his back.



Get the bigger gun.



Hikaru turned quickly from where he thought he heard a voice, but no one was there. He shook it off, for now he replaced his assualt riffle, with a larger calibur single action bolt riffle.



Lilly nods as does Ceci and the half human android and the full android start cutting open the door.



The door is melting.

 

Hikaru walked up to the door which was currently being cut open. "That's not how you breach." Hikaru pulled out a larger explosive.

 

"Allies could be behind door." Ceci says.

 

"Stand by Hikaru. Please." Aidan said.

 

The girls finish as the door just melts away.

The group sees Remi and six bugs.

She is dodging one.

 

Flipping out precision sight on the grenade launcher in his left, he readied his sword in his right. Seeing Sumire surrounded he said "Shit fuck." He lets the GL drop on it's sling while grabbing a pistol for his left hand.(edited)

 

Hikaru dropped into a crouch pointing his riffle at the door as it melted away seeing Remi fighting the bugs, he started to aim at one of the bugs.

The red laser pointer of his riffle  turned from one bug, to Remi.

 

"Fancy you could join me assholes...." remi says coldly giving the group shit chuckling as she avoids another bug with acrobatics.

Lilly and Ceci enter the room.

 

 

"If I wasn't following up on your suggestion, Rembrant, I would have been here with you." He sent her a short range text with an image of his tongue sticking out since he couldn't show his face.(edited)

"Sorry to leave you hanging" Seleni says, targeting the bug closest to Remi. "Great. More trash." Dawn grumbles quietly, as a silver blade shoots out from her left sleeve and she quickly grasps the handle of the tanto styled short sword.

Lilly pulls out two shock grenades from a pouch she has and throws them at the bugs.

 

Four bugs get stunned for three turns.

Remi goes to cut the bug that has been attacking her with her ODM sword.

Just as her whiskey arrives, Brigid gets a priority one message from Sigmund. "Major, we have a situation on planet." He sent her the details. "She ordered, "Scramble the quick response tactical team and beam then down to reinforce the people there while I return to the bridge. Setting down the whiskey untouched, she runs out the door.

The bug splits in half and falls into two pieces blood spewing everywhere.

Ceci uses the plasma gun in her hand aiming it at one of the stunned bugs.

 

"Which information? The datalink or the blue on blue incident?" Dawn replies to Aidan.

 

"Um... i mean, I put my body on ice litterally as fast as I could... you guys have no idea what this is like.... it's not like me talking to you, it's like their is a constant rave dancing on my head. I see, i hear things, and it's... ah no sense in explaining it."

 

"We could remove the bug from you." Lilly said referring to she and her allies.

 

"We don't kill people unless we can't fix them." Aidan said with a little anger.

 

"you do realize i'm talking to you while my body is frozen in ice?"

"this... is... kind of beyond ptsd"

 

"Or don't respond to the partial human in the room... Well... I guess permission to be dismissed General..." Lilly replied.

 

 "Get checked out by Medical if you need to, Lilly. We'll talk later. Dismissed." Get a Marine platoon in here and get this area secured. Aidan said to the comm,  turning to catch up to Sumire.(edited)

Lilly goes to the stairs and heads up them. By this point remi was at the top with Ceci whom both leave. the marines leave as well with hikaru and they are eventually beamed back up.

 

Seleni and Dawn remain behind for now.
