Mission: Season 2; Mission 3: We All Know What to Do; Let’s Not Do That…
Location: Aloris Capital
Timeline: October 28th 4566

Remi and those from team one who was with her arrived on the planet and were greeted by an old man. "In customary fashion I am going to give you a gift... Here have a great warrior... he is an accomplished swordsman who will die for your cause..." remi stares at the old man. "Who are you...." "I am an ambassador... you are the Princess... I bring tidings of grace for sacrificing your pilots for us..." "um... I think I am still drunk..." His guards bring out a man and offer him to her. "Why does everyone keep giving us swordsmen..." Remi thinks to herself.
The guards unshackle their captive.
"Isn't slavery illegal anyway...." She looked to Aidan.


"Last time I checked. Haven't had to imprison anyone for in centuries." Aidan offered. Nursing his coffee.'


"and who keeps telling everyone i am a goddamn princess... It was my friend Marie from my VR games wasn't it..." She mumbles to herself.


I stand slowly, still a little weary as I rub my wrists, keeping my mouth shut, my face revealing no fear or weakness.


"He looks almost as hardened as you do General..." Remi said teasing Aidan but trying to sound professional.
Mimi exists the shuttle just walking behind Aidan and Sumire. "So sirs... is this typically what you deal with; random... seemingly creeper-like people offering you slaves..." She crosses her arms.


I quietly examine each of the people in front of me, squinting slightly as I stand a little straighter-backed from my years in the army and breath slowly.


"Hardly, but it sure beats the hell out of combat." Aidan retorted.


"I see...." As Mimi said this guards come out of the large tower in front of them and take the old man and his guards away leaving Leon there. Sumire looks at the man in front of her. "I'm Sumire Rembrant with the Trinity Combined Service... you are safe from your slaver... could you tell me who you are; where your home is... I wonder if our Universal Translator even speaks his language..."


Jack stands in the back quietly, seeing himself in the man brought before them.


"I would join you, but I have repairs and wounded to tend to right now. I think Ardent Dawn can assist at anytime you need her." Seleni messages Remi.


Takes a moment to hesitate, my eyes glancing around at the figures in front of me. "I am Ser Leon Kyle Alexander, I am a prince and a commander of my father's army. I would like to know where I am, and who you are, and where the hell my men are." I speak firmly, with a tinge of anger, and in a dialect that is a cross between british and germanic.


Jack was really seeing himself now. He could possibly get along with this man.


"I am surprised I am even on this mission dear... all the bourbon... its fine Seleni-chan...." Remi replied to her over VX mentally. 

"Your men... are... well I have no idea... So Sir Leon... Where do you hail from?" Remi asked Leon.


I clear my throat, blinking twice before continuing. "I hail from great britain, my father is Lord Reinos Alexander, king of the south western peninsula." I stand proudly, almost empowered as I mention my father.


"Eh... I am sorry to say you are far from there... my soldiers and I will be happy to offer you assistance though."


"Damn, another man out of time.", Jack remarked.


Aidan asked Leon, "What year do you think this is?


"And this is General Aidan Thornton... he is my superior officer..."
She told Leon


I blink a few times, before shaking my head. "I'm not sure. It was... from the lord's reckoning, year seven hundred and fourty... at least I think." ((I haven't set an actual date. Leon wasn't very good at reading calendars.))

"Welcome to the future." Jack said.


"You are in the year 4566; you are in the Aloris Region of the Milky Way Galaxy." Remi said.



"The... ah, future? Four thousand and..." Leon blinked again, tilting his head and trying to come to grips with it. "Does that mean, my men are...?" His voice catches in his throat and he turns for a moment, blinking a few times as tears started to fill them as he quickly deflated, nowhere near as imposing now as he came to grips with the fact everyone he knew and loved would have died many many thousands of years ago.



Ayasha walked over, "Sir, I need to do a quick test of your health." She started waving the medical scanner over him in practiced fashion. "No pathogens detected. Human, the rest can wait for a physical."



Jack steps forward and offers the man a hand, "You aren't alone. I too was ripped from my time and people. Like you I bare a title of nobility, and lead armies. Trust when I say it will be a burden that will lighten as time passes."


"Well... since we got more soldiers im just gunna go back to the station... I have a girlfriend to mourn and bourbon calling my name...."
Remi turns around waving attempting to leave.


Quickly calms himself, trying to stand proper again and turning back towards the others, seeing the man's outstretched hand. I hear his words and nod, grasping his forearm firmly and looking him in the eyes, pulling him in for a hug before pulling away. "At least I know I am not alone in this future time. I thank you."



Leon, the realization of it all actually coming into full effect now, as I step back, collapse and start vomiting, spilling up my guts even though it is mostly just liquid.



"Yeah.... clean up on.... isle RIP..." Remi just walks back into the shutttle.
Mimi uses her gem to heal Leon and tkae some of the stress way.


Jack just pats his back and stays clear of the puke.


Ayasha turns in digust muttering. "Why bring a fucking medic, just throw a gem at it."


`Continues vomiting for a few more moments, until there is nothing left but my dry heaving. I close my eyes and breath deeply, slowly standing and wiping the spittle from my mouth, unable to speak quite yet.


"Do you need assistance in walking?" Jack asked


Mimi does everything she cna do and then uses the gem water to clean up the vomit.


His legs were a little wobbly still, but he eventually shook his head, his breathing calming down. "I'm sorry. I would like a change of clothes, and to know where a wash basin is." (edited)


"General sir we still need to meet with the Aloris delegation even if the Captain needs to elave."
Mimi tells Aidan

Mimi uses her gem to lcean him covering him in a water that somehow cleans but does not make him wet.


"Yeah you can borrow some of mine, and I'll show you to the shuttle. There is a shower aboard......or Not."


starting to ayasha's dislike of magic.


Looks up and down himself, seeing himself be cleaned right before his very eyes. "I... thank you?"


Turning to Mimi, Aidan offers, "Lead the way."


Mimi notices people sdistaste of the gems she shrugs "You realize that this heals wounds, mental stress and bleeding; not internal injuries or broken bones... there is still a need for doctors and the water with enough force can act like pressure washing or... sonic cleaning...."


"Yes, thank you." He appreciated the assistance Jack was giving him and let him lead the way.


"Make sense now... remember I am not just some random who joined you guys; this is what I have been taught to do since the age of 13... it is my skillset...." Mimi said


"there is the reason the commission has people like me... I am here to suplement the regular forces."


Ayasha had already started her walk to the shuttle. "Call me if he breaks his arm then."


"I see there has been a new addition." Dawn says arriving.


"God.. you guys are just like the Rim when they react to you.... oh the special services are better than us; lets whine and moan... So much jealousy and prejudice..." Mimi walks off herself.'\


"This must all seem very strange to you, as it was for me when I arrived. Oh I'm sorry, I haven't even introduced myself. Formally I am Lord Jack Pine, ruler of the New Dusk Conclave. But I prefer that most people just call me Jack."


He nodded. "Pleasure to meet you, Lord Jack Pine. As I mentioned earlier, I am Leon." He bowed slowly, not wanting to upset his stomach again.


Jack grins, "I think we will be fast friends Leon. I hope to introduce you to my family."


"I would introduce you to mine, but... They are obviously long gone." He said quietly, his right eye twitching slightly though otherwise he was normal.


"I'm terribly sorry, I did not mean to bring it up. I have lost close ones to me as well. I hope you will find comfort in knowing you have friends ready to help you here."


`Aidan uses the shuttle relay to to find out where he was supposed to be. Before leaving, he walked over to the newcomer, offering his hand. "Brigadier General Aidan Thornton. I suspect you and I wil have in common."


Leon nodded at Jack, sighing. "It's something I'll just have to deal with, it's not all bad I suppose..." He turned to Aidan and saluted him, before realizing he had extended a hand as well, firmly grasping his forearm as he had done with Jack. "Leon, the pleasure is all mine."


Dawn tilts her head at Aidan's intro. "You are milady's CO, am I correct?" she asks.


"No. It's...complicated. There are areas I outrank her and places she outranks me. I am the Executive Officer of the entire Trinity Fleet, which her fleet is part of as well as Commanding Officer of my own ship, the DFS Providence." Aidan offered. "why?"


"Nothing more than simple curiosity, kind sir" Dawn says, curtsying.


Quietly watches the interaction.


Aidan excused himself, "We'll have to catch up later., excuse me. He heads of in the direciton of the aloris council.


Dawn then turns to Leon. "I am AI to the Destroyer Ardent Dawn. Maidservant and escort to Seleni and her ship, The Murasashi" She says with an elegant bow.


He nodded at Aidan as he left and turned to Dawn. "I am Leon, Prince to Lord Reinos Alexander and..." He paused. "AI?"


"Artificial intelligence" Jack stated.


"That... is...?" Leon asked


"She's a synthetic person more or less"
"Man made at that." Jack replied


"Jack, you're using a lot of words I've... never heard before."


"In essence, I am not an actual human but a man made copy of one." Dawn explains.


"Yeah I'm not the best at explaining science or as Leon might know...as alchemy."


He nodded. "I'm... sure I'll understand what half of that means at some point."
He heard alchemy and understood a little more but had a strong feeling it wasn't anywhere near what it was meant to be taken as.


Aidan reached a checkpoint for the Council and asked a nearby guard. "Excuse me, I am trying to reach the Aloris council and explained who he was.


"Essentially your people studied alchemy which eventually evolved to be more developed. It became to be known as science. Study of how the world works went further and further."


"Shall we join the others in the council?" Dawn asks.


He nodded, giving a moment to let it register in his head. "That... makes logical sense, yes." He nodded again. "What is this council? -- Or, who?" (edited)

[This point went to a post between Tugar and Leon; moving forward a bit...]

Remi had returned to the shuttle and took a little time in her VR world before the backup pilot from the Onyx interrupted her; explaining that something in their scans seemed to be amiss... She went got up and came over to the officer's station.

Meanwhile Mimi led the group; at this point alone as she went off ahead of Aidan to go to this meeting hoping she could get this over with without the General or the Trinity staff since all of them seemed preoccupied with the new arrival... They had a mission... it needed completed and since people didn't like her magic she would just do her job and get out of their way.



Scott is looking at a monitor in the bunker muttering about idiots leaving problems around


kirin follows the group keeping an eye out for anything out of the ordinary


Warren follows along, very silent, very solemn


Leon followed along, looking around at the new planet, still adjusting to all of this.


Remi looks over the information on the panel. "Rembrant to Team One... Keep your heads on a swivel; something isn't right here..." "Copy." Mimi replied as she entered the council chamber. it was empty.




Warren looking around with a cautious face, "are we uh.. supposed to be here yet?"


Leon plunked along in his plate armor, looking around. Even though it was plate, it was lighter than it looked, allowing for a full range of movement.


As the others in the team arrive in the room Mimi begins scanning with her VX closing her eyes so her complete focus is on this room. "It is... what it should be... but where are all the guards... the councilmen... something is off..."


"im getting a feeling we shouldn't be here." warren follows up with a paranoid feeling


Remi looks over at the pilot... beam me there..." "Aye madam captain." Remi's battlesuit appeared over her and her sword appeared at her side as did her sidearm. Remi appears in the room with the group. Suddenly a man falls through the glass ceiling with evil laughter coming from him. Remi points her sword up and fires an ice shard at him; which instead of going through him freezes him upon impact. (To Leon since shes in a powered armor with a helmet she looks more like an ironman suit than a person.... a walking armored demon especially with that sword that just shot ice) (edited)


He squinted up at the robot person, still trying to figure out exactly what's going on.


Aidan walked in following the rest of the team. "I know you won't be used to it, but try to stay out of the way. " He said to Leon, and called his own power armor. The black composite formed around him and he unsheathed his sword, pistol in his off hand. (edited)


Leon nodded and forced himself to back off.


warren held his hand up with a stasis module on the hand of his suit on standby "who are they?" he mouthed to himself


"No idea." Remi said. A voice then comes into the room. "Pesky Federation fools... you think you defeated our master but you will die eventually... It is not over..."
The voice says as bugs appear in the room; they seem weaker than normal with their master and all their comrades frozen in space. (edited)


"Of course it's not over. You're too much of a coward to face us." Aidan said with an even tone, exhaustion in it.

"... Yeah; yeah yeah... mini boss always wants to talk shit..." Remi replied taunting them.
"I have too much bourbon to drink and I can't die until shes alive again... so the only option is you dying..." Remi continued.

"dammit! we still have the remnants" warren said with a emotionally angry tone, pulling a plasma pistol from his suit's holster and holds it ready

The voice does not respond to the taunting.


kirin thinks to himself 'hmm if there is one there got to be more of these things'

Aidan speaks to the group. "Probably some recording. Stick to your training."




scott wonders if he should ask tessa if he could have her move the e core ship here to help the onyx destroy the big buggy bad


The shuttle relays to command that the team is engaged in battle with bugs. The fleet returns to alert condition 1 and prepares marine teams to reenforce Team One.



scott sees the alert and orders a few queens to help the marine teams


Warren channels his psionic abilities to disrupt communication and mental capacity of the bug group



Two bugs avoid being stunned.
The rest will be stunned for three turns or until attacked.


kirin drags a circle around him to sit in and concentrate to put up a barrier around the area to stop from things to come in


Four of the enemies are stunned and take no action. One of the bugs attempts to move through the barrier and takes three damage. The other attempts to attack Mimi since she was the first one in the room.

Mimi avoids the bugs attack.
She then counterattacks with a yellow gem; attack of opportunity; the bug takes it. (since gems is like casting)

She avoids it and uses lightning on the bug.


The bug is electrified and in addition to the seven damage will take 1 damage each turn until it dies or until four turns happens.


Aidan uses the augmented sight in his suit to help guide his hand. Aiming for the eye(s) of the bug closest to him he fires a two double taps


The bug explodes instantly; bug guts are everywhere.


Aidan says, "Think fire" as he passes the sword to Leon.



Leon would take the sword as it was handed to him, taking a moment to squint and aim at one of the bugs, doing as Aidan said. 'Fire.' He thought.

A line of fire comes out of the sword and goes for the enemy.

It starts to bleed out blue blood.
Remi points her ODM sword in the air closing her eyes; as no enemies are around her the skill activates. Six fireballs leave the sword and go into the air; turn into meteors and attack all six enemy units at once. Due to four of them being stunned there is a minus five to all of their defensive rolls. if hit additional damage penalties befall the enemies.
All four hits kill their targets and make holes in the ground that are filled with fire.

Warren launches a Psi-Plasma attack using his pistol as a conduit shooting out as a cannon-ball-like shot at the remaining buggo (edited)

The bug seems to be hurting form its wounds. it is Kirin's turn. (edited)

kirin continue to concentrate but instead of on the area around place they are in trys to focus in on the bug to trap it


The last bug attempts to escape and walks into the barrier. It screeches attempting to disable the room but with how weak it is fear instead sets in on the bug. Mimi pulls out her sidearm and shoots the bug.

The bug walks into her pistol and ends itself.


"Stop such foolishness..." is heard. Remi replies. "Dude seriously; is this some 21st century shit video game or something with a villain who doesn't actually know what not to do; stop being so cliché... Stop being bad at your job... your boss is an ice cube and took my girlfriend form me... how about you fucking come out and face someone before i find you, take a shit in your month and then blow your fucking brains out!" Remi was apparently very triggered by this.


warren listens along with a deathly serious face


There is no response to her rage except Aloris guards coming in the door stating that the capital is under attack and that they should leave now. The council had apparently been moved.
remi sighed and told the shuttle to beam the man on ice back to the station and to unfreeze him and prepare him for interrogation.
She was done with these asshats games.


Aidan made sure he was the last out then saddled up to Leon. "Not bad, you know how to handle a blade. Not sure what your plans are but a cool head in combat is always a welcome addition."


He nodded taking a deep breath, examining the sword before handing it back to him. "It's what I know. I appreciate your trust." He looked Aidan in the eye and nodded again.


Taking the blade back, he said, "The trust was well placed."
"What's our next move?" He said to Remi, "I agree it's past time to find more answers."


Remi's suit is recalled back into the pack she had; she was not happy. "We are goign to interrogate this fucking cheeseball..."

Aidan changed back into BDU's and reloaded the magazine in his pistol. "Leon, what is it you need the most right now?"


"That's a question that I'm not really sure what the answer is." Leon glanced over at him, standing with his arms at his sides. "My weapon was taken from me, obviously."
